Conclusion

Our study shows a good accuracy (arithmetic average between the two readers) of the low field in identifying the menisci findings (93%) and cruciate ligaments findings (96%), while the accuracy of the articular cartilages analysis was less accurate (85%). Concordance was found to be GOOD for the evaluation of menisci and EXCELLENT for the evaluation of cruciate ligaments (Cohen's Kappa of 0.768 and 0.832 respectively), between MODEST and MODERATE for articular cartilage (Cohen's Kappa ranging from 0.236 to 0.389) with worse concordance values ​​about tibial cartilage.

Low field MRI with dedicated coil for joints evaluation confirms, once again, its diagnostic reliability for the evaluation of meniscal and cruciate ligaments lesions, but it does not prove equally reliability for the analysis of cartilage structures cases.
