Conclusiones

Familiarizarse con la compleja anatomía de la lengua así como seleccionar la técnica de diagnóstico por la imagen óptima en cada caso es esencial para emitir un informe radiológico así como para determinar la estrategia terapéutica más adecuada para el paciente.

 

La RM es la técnica con mayor resolución anatómica, de elección para el estudio de lengua, aunque tiene ciertas limitaciones que pueden ser suplidas por la TC y otras técnicas radiológicas.

 

Ante una lengua oncológica debemos conocer cuáles son los hallazgos de imagen con implicaciones en el manejo.
