This study aims to demonstrate the evaluation of salivary glands through the images means: ultrasound (USG), X-ray (sialogram), multidetectorscomputed tomography (MDCT) and high field magnetic resonance image (MRI). It was described the aspects of pathological abnormalities and conditions of the salivary glands, notably parotid and submandibular, correlating the traditional image with those of the Sialo resonance technique (Sialo-MR).

Numerous pathologies determine the sensory and functional changes of the salivary glands, from inflammatory, infectious, neoplastic and mainly obstrutive changes.
