The purpose of this educational poster is to make a pictorial review of radiological signs that are named after food and seen at the same place where our real food usually ends up – in our abdomen.
The well-known radiological signs are presented in an approachable,
creative and stimulating way in order to make extensive radiology knowledge easier to memorize and possibly,
bring radiology closer to students and physicians outside the radiology field.
Radiologists should possess in-depth knowledge about various diseases and their concomitant radiomorphologic features.
The role of descriptive radiological signs is to help with navigating through the wide-ranging spectrum of possible radiological findings associated with specific conditions.
They present distinctive shapes and patterns,
resembling easily recognizable objects such as animals and plants,
geographic and geologic phenomena,
food and drink,

Identifying the radiological signs inspired by food on abdominal imaging is a unique and fun way to narrow down the differential diagnoses and make a radiological report with a higher level of confidence.
