The European Commission (EC) is aware that the transposition and implementation of the BSS Directive in the medical sector will constitute a major challenge for the respective national legislators and regulators in European Union Member States.

Conclusion and Recommendations
After the successful survey and the workshop held in Brussels in mid-January,
the project consortium is currently in the last phase of the project,
the preparation of the report on the findings from the survey and the evaluation of the workshop,
which will be issued,
to the EC in mid-2017.
