|Magnetic resonance imaging assesment of Lateral Meniscus anterior horn tear with parameniscal cyst in Hoffa ‘s fat Pad;Unusual combination of pathology in young population|
Methods and Materials
Routine knee MRI of patients referred from outpatient clinics with suspected meniscus tear were collected between May 2015 and january 2016 .
1.5 Tesla Siemens Avanto (Erlangen ,Germany) and IMediplus Diagnoplus viewer DS3000 workstation (Turmap HealthCare, Mortsel, Belgium) were used to evaluate images.
725 of the patient were showed medial meniscus tear with some additional ligament problems whereas 130 patients were suffering from lateral meniscus tears.
64 patients have had both medial and lateral meniscus tears.
32 of the patient having lateral meniscus tears with anteriorly located parameniscal cysts had been chosen in patients with lateral meniscal tears .
Meniscal tear morphology, age, gender, accompanience of discoid menisci, patellar tendon lenght ratio and femorotibial alingnment in coronal plane were eveluated by one senior one junior radiologists where the final desicions were achieved by consensus..
Results were compared between the groups and statistical analyses were done using Ficher Exact test.P values lesser than 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
